NHCAC GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION

The North Harris County Alumnae Chapter ( NHCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has developed this scholarship as a way to give back to local communities by offering financial assistance to distinguished graduating African-American students pursuing higher education. NHCAC will award scholarships on a competitive basis to qualified applicants.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

African-American high school seniors graduating in 2024, who resides in or attends a high school in one of the service areas of the North Harris County Alumnae Chapter: Cypress, Jersey Village, Spring, Tomball, and Humble, Texas.
Cumulative GPA of a 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Candidate must enroll in an accredited college or university for the 2024 -2025 school year.

General Scholarship

Deadline: Sunday, March 10, 2024

All completed applications submitted by the deadline will be screened and evaluated by the Scholarship committee. Transcripts must be postmarked by the deadlines. Eligible applicants will be scheduled for an interview. Scholarship awards will be announced in May. The scholarship award will be paid upon confirmation of college registration during the ensuing year of enrollment. The scholarship award must be claimed by October 31, 2024 and used within the academic school year in which the award was presented or the award will be forfeited.
