Welcome to the REDBOOK online business directory! Just as we thought, many of you offer excellent products/services. We hope this directory will serve as a resource to connect your business to the wants and needs of our members. It was an absolute delight to confirm what we already knew – North Harris County Alumnae Chapter is filled with talented, professional business owners. We want to SUPPORT YOU!
As the Black buying power continues to rise (expected to reach $1.4 trillion in 2024), we want to ensure we are doing our part to circulate our dollars in OUR community, especially within our NHCAC sisterhood. To that end, I encourage each of you to refer to REDBOOK when considering your specific needs. Additionally, we want to support by word of mouth. If you have a friend or family member who is looking for a specific product or service, and a chapter soror offers that product or service, please pass their information on. We are our sisters’ keeper.
Studies say that the average lifespan of the dollar is approximately 28 days in Asian communities, 19 days in Jewish communities, 17 days in white communities — and just six hours in Black communities.
Your Economic Development committee is asking you to help us extend the lifespan of the dollar back in the community. Buying Black is one of the simplest ways to continue that circulation.
In service,
Soror Danielle Davis & Soror Melissa Thorn, Co-Chairs
