North Harris County Alumnae is committed to broadening the community’s understanding of nations other than their own; increasing interest and awareness in international affairs; and aiding in developing a greater appreciation for people of different diversities and cultures.

World AIDS Day is December 1. NHCAC partners with health agencies to promote programs that will inform and increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS in the community and other nations.

EndingTheEpidemic

World AIDS Day takes place on 1 December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness. North Harris County Alumnae Chapter partners with health agencies to promote programs that will inform and increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS in the community. In 2020, NHCAC was a media/community partner with World AIDS Day Houston.

In December 2021, the International Awareness and Involvement Committee presented the very first installment of the Crimson Conversation Series.  In honor of World Aids Day, we invited Ms. Tiffany Quinton to sit down with us and discuss her 20+ year journey living with HIV.  Click here to view.
